There are plenty of flowers out, particularly the bluebells, which are a bit later than last year, and we hope you will enjoy them, but please do not pick or trample any of the flowers; leave them for all to enjoy. This wood is one of the finest examples of semi-natural ancient woodland in the area. It has developed over many centuries and is irreplaceable, so please give it the respect it deserves.
There are now about 8 acres of coppice cut. Some will be fenced with deer fencing and some with temporary fence panels to keep the deer out. If this is not done they will eat the young growth, and may kill the cut stools
You are reminded that this wood is Privately owned, and we ask you to help us achieve what we want; a beautiful, thriving woodland for all to enjoy for many years to come. There are public footpaths and bridle paths through these woods. All other paths and tracks are management tracks or desire lines. We may need to close or reroute these tracks for the management of the woodland, and reserve the right to do so. Please respect our rights and the needs of the woodland, the plants and animals within it.
The woods may be muddy if there is any rain, so you may find walking unpleasant unless you are wearing suitable footwear. Please do not walk on the edges of the paths as they get wider, and do not start new tracks as there are fewer flowers the wider and more paths there are.
In the interests of the wood, and everybody's safety and enjoyment, We have a few rules
